No cuts to disability benefits
Neurodivergent Labour is appalled at the prospect of the Labour government cutting benefits to disabled people, and other disability benefits.
Many neurodivergent and other disabled people rely on these benefits to live independently.
Cutting benefits will drive disabled adults and children into poverty and distress.
If the government wants to get more disabled people into work, then the best way to do this is to compel employers to make jobs fully accessible.
If the government wants to save or raise money, then the best way to do this is to tax big business and the super-rich.
We voted Labour to get rid of a government that attacked people who are already impoverished and marginalised. Now we find ourselves having to go into battle with our own government as it does the same.
